Default I never realized .....

I never realized until yesterday how much my dh and I reuse things! We've got just about everything we want planted in our garden and the seed items are starting to come up. Well we have a very very bad problem with crows getting into the corn sprouts. Scarecrows and such don't work on them. Last year we made wire cages to run over the sprouts until they were out of danger. Well this year we planted 3 long rows of corn, not enough wire to cover them all. So my dh come up with the plan to use the legs from our dd's old trampoline and the old netting we just took off the chicken run to cover them. It worked perfect! We drove the legs in the ground, tied masonary line to each end and then drapped the netting over. We then took old tent spikes to hold the netting down. That trampoline was the biggest waste of money, it was the type with the safety straps instead of springs. My dd got to jump on it maybe 4 months before the straps wore out. BUT we've used every part of that trampoline for something or other!LOL The safety netting has been used over baby chick pens and blue berry bushes. The poles for holding up bird netting or plants. The jump mat has been used to rake leaves up and drag to the goats. You name it we've probably used it for that!LOL
