Hi folks. Thanks for the welcome. Just went to Big Y in North Haven yesterday. I have not been to Big Y for awhile. They've been advertising all natural black angus beef for awhile now. They had a 2 for 1 sale on the all natural rib eye steaks. I had a couple cut for me by the butcher. Really nice looking. I'll report back on the taste. They were $5.99 a lb. I also picked up 4 all natural angus sirloin burgers from the butcher case which looked good. I was getting the bare naked beef from Stew Leonards but the sales on it were few and far between and it was expensive. Also had an IGA in Kensington that sold the Natural Certified Angus Beef then went to the regular CAB instead of natural. I live in Meriden by the way. We have Stop and Shop, Walmart, Shaws and Shop Rite also. I don't do Stop and Shop anymore. I gave up on them when they put in the 'lay off' lanes. You know the ones where you scan and bag all of you own items which enables them to cut peoples hours and lay people off. Besides, I just don't feel like doing all of that for nothing to increase their profits. Same goes for Walmart too. That's when I started shopping Stew Leonards and IGA but it's just too expensive. I do know one thing. We've been trying to buy as much food without preservatives and steroids and hormones as we can and we've both felt better since eating this way.
