Albertson's clearance of certain organic products..

I made a trip to Albertsons today and noticed that quite a few Organic product items such as Amys, etc. were "clearance" tagged. Upon looking, a lot of the items have long expirations and so the only thing that I can come up with is that they are doing away with the not-so-popular (competition) organic product lines, so that they can further push/promote their new "Wild Harvest Organics" line. Since I already like their new Wild Harvest Organics line, there is no need to "entice" me in. But, the lure of "clearance" items, specifically organic, has sparked my interest enough that I will be watching and waiting for the right time so that I can snatch up as much as I can for the lowest price possible.

Just thought I would pass this on so that those of you within distance of an Albertsons, can keep any eye out as well.

I noticed that too...although I did not think that the prices were cheap enough. I am going to wait till they put it in a shopping cart at the front of the store. And if they do...I have been known to make the manager an offer on the whole shopping cart. LOL

That's a cool idea about buying the whole cart! At our store they have 2 3-tier racks back by the dairy/HBA section (back corner of the store) where they put all of the clearance items. Maybe they don't want us buying the whole cart here? LOL!

Yeah here after a while they will put them in shopping carts with like a sign that says 50% off and I will get the manager and tell ask him if he will let me take the whole cart full for a certain price $20, $30 etc depending on what it is and how much is in the cart. I do this at the holidays a lot. Year before last I got a whole shopping cart of candles for 20 bucks. So if there is ever a blackout you can come to my house for candles. LOL

They also have the 3 tiered shelves for some non food items here at my store over by the HBA department and I have made offers on it too. You should try making an offer on it because often times they stores just need to get rid of it or they trash it or send it back the manf and take a loss on it. Never hurts to try!
