That's a pretty good price for asparagus- plus it's super healthy! Have you tried the Traditional Medicinals teas? DH is usually nonplussed about the organic stuff, but he LOVES the tea and is always sharing bags of throat coat with any coworker who has a cough or the sniffles.

My kids love asparagus and so when it goes on sale for a killer price like this, I have no problem buying a lot of it. Speaking of asparagus, I have some sauteeing on the stove for dinner tonight.

As to the Traditional Medicinal teas, I don't think I have tried any yet. I have a stockpile of misc. teas that I am trying to work thru and so unless I run out of a particular type we drink regularly, I am trying not to buy more just yet. What kind is your DH drinking that he likes? Is it actually called a throat coat? I am always willing to cave and add to my collection (LOL) if is recommended from a worthwhile source.

It's called "Organic Throat Coat" and is AWESOME for sore throats and coughs. It does as it says and actually coats your throat with this anise/licorice flavored tea and it's very soothing. I usually drink it when I feel a cold coming on (though they also have a "cold care" tea as well) or if I've been outside in the chilly air and my throat is raw from that.

Thanks for the link Kristen. :) I didn't even think to look it up. Doh!!!! With the cold/flu season coming on and DH already getting sick (he gets sick the most out of all of us, but he won't admit it), I actually would like to start looking for healthier versions of medicines in hopes that DH tries them before getting really sick and requesting "off-the-wall" stuff because his friends and the Internet suggested it. I am usually pretty tolerant, but this year I am going to try encourage him to take my advice first.
