I'm looking for something new to add to the mix, especially now that winter is quickly approaching and I won't be able to go jogging/walking much longer (I HATE cold!!). I'm currently doing the 30 Day Shred, and I like it but need some variation from time to time. I also have the Leslie Samsone walking series, as well as several of the Crunch Time Pilates dvd's.

What are some of your favorites to do?!?

I have the 30 Day Shred as well as some Leslie Sansone too!
When I get bored I usually will break out the dance type workout DVD's. I like Hip Hop Abs, and I also have a 3 (I think) DVD set of Disco Abs with the girl from Dancing with the Stars that I can't remember her name. And when the going really gets tough and I just don't have it in me....I break out the old Sweatin' to the Oldies with Richard Simmons!!!! :smile5:
The dance ones tend to make me sweat, but also don't feel like exercise, they keep my attention and are actually fun...especially when there's ones like Disco Abs where you know the songs and can get into the workout.

If you want to kick your butt, P90X is crazy, but I lose my motivation after a couple weeks of that 'cause it's not fun and it's wicked! Jus' sayin'....

Sweatin' with the oldies...I haven't done that one in ages!! :rofl1:

I was just pulling out all my dvd's this morning and found a Denise Austen Dance workout. I haven't done it yet, but am eager to give it a try now!

I've heard that P90X is brutal...I need a fun workout if its long. I don't find the 30 Day Shred particularly fun but since it's short, I deal with it. P90X comes with a lot of strings attached though too, doesn't it? Like a special diet and all that?

I haven't done a workout DVD in ages, I have found if I work out under 100 lbs it does weird things to my body! : { I'm FINALLY over 100 for the first time in 3 years, but barely. I don't have my strength up enough to do it, but I really liked Winsor Pilates. Power Sculpting and I have the Abs, but I never got good enough at the PS to do the Abs. Hehe

I hope you try out your Denise Austin workout. I tend to like her and hate her at the same time. :rofl1: Sometimes she motivates me and other times I just talk to her on the screen and tell her to shut up!

I actually bought the P90X a few years back when it first came out, but I got it on ebay and just got the DVD's, not the entire package with the meal plan and all.
Basically you need different size dumbells, a yoga mat (if you aren't working out on a soft surface), and either resistance bands or one of those chin up bars. (I chose the bands). Oh, and over an hour each day (yes, EACH day) to do this workout.

Like I said before, the fun stuff tends to keep me more interested.
And I agree, the 30 Day isn't fun, but it's short enough to be able to stand it. :smile5:
Good luck! I hope you find a workout or two that are right for you.
