I know this is a long shot, but you never know someone here might have some input for my.
There is going to be a job opening in Aitken Minnesota sometime this year. My husband would be able to lateral transfer into the position. It is not 100% since other supervisors at his level could also apply.
We are seriously thinking of moving to this area if he would get offered the transfer - he thinks he has a great chance.
Anyways, I am just looking for opinions or experiences anyone might have had in these areas. We have visited the town of Aitken once and have driven through the Brainerd area several times, but have never spent time there to form an opinion.
Brainerd is about 50 miles west of Aitken. We think my future job possibilities would be better in Brainerd, so that is why I am also asking about Brainerd too. We would possibily live halfway between the two cities?
The one thing I do know about Brainerd is that it is a huge tourist area, but other than that I don't know many details.
