Miracle Gro Organic Choice Garden Soil is $6.77 for a 1.5 cu. ft. bag. Personally, I have not been happy with this product in the past. Maybe I was just expecting something different, but there were much larger chunks/mulch-like in the soil than I expected. I am also becoming more cautious of buying “green” products from companies that also have a conventional line. chitownmelli has started a great discussion here.

5” veggie and 5” herb Bonnie Peat Pots are $3.48 each. While expensive to buy already started plants, it is a decent price. There are plenty of Energy Star Appliances on sale too, from refrigerator/freezers to dishwashers. I wouldn’t run out and buy one just to save on energy costs; but if your dishwasher is not really washing anymore, it may be time to start looking for something that will consume less energy per load.
