We opened up our packages and are doing a nice dinner tonight. We celebrate yule, which was yesterday, and we're having our nice dinner for that. And then we celebrate christmas in just the sense that I was raised christian and still think of it as giving a gift to my loved ones to show my appreciation for them and do something nice and special for them.

Our day went pretty well. DH got home from work, and he was like an hour late then normal cause he had stopped at the store to get our presents jsut then, so of course when he comes in I have to hide my eyes so he can run in to the other room and wrap them.

We got Booger up and gave her a stocking with a small book and new js. We were going to do that before he left for work on friday, so she could sleep in the pjs instead of changing from slept in pjs to new pjs instead of every day clothes lol, but we weren't sure if he would have to work on saturday.

Booger is 15 months old and she's finally gotten the whole "hey, if I pull this paper there's a surprise under neath! awesome!" thing down. She really enjoyed opening things up, but she got a little overloaded cause mommy and daddy gave her only 4 packages and a box of clothes, and grandpa and had sent a box filled with 4 packages as well and that was a little much for her to process at once, lol.

She needs to learn the sharing thing a bit. She was sitting on daddy's lap and opening things and I tried to hand daddy a gift to open but she reached for it and started getting huffy with us when it wasn't given to her.

I'm always a little grateful at her first pick of the toys, it's always books. She loves them and grabs them and just runs with them and is excited about them. That's always great.

For the toys aspect she loves the elmo driver, and the little laptop grandpa sent her, and the blocks daddy got her.

I can see plenty of money spent on shoes in my coming life. We had a regular sized gift box filled up with clothes for her and a new pair of shoes. She went spazztastic on the shoes! They're a cute little brown pair with a velcro buckle on them. OMG, she loves them so much. She grabbed those and screamed and would not let go of them, I literally had to pry them out of her hands.

All in all it was a nice, fun, enjoyable day.
