Default Organic Alternatives

An important part of the affordable organic discussion is Organic Alternatives. These are products which could be any of the following:

* Organic, but not certified
* Organic and conventional ingredients blended
* Foods on their way to being organic and worthy of discussion (like milk that's hormone free, but not organic; or chicken that's grain-fed and no antibiotics but isn't free-range)

For some, these alternatives might be the closest thing they can get to organic foods based on availability or cost. Some products might be 100% organic, but as a small company, can't afford the certification process.

Going organic is about having choices at the grocery store. For that reason, we've included these products in our brands discussion line-up. You'll see them denoted in the threads with an [OA] in the thread title.
