Cantaloupe is Hot on the Market for the month of June. A great summer time treat mixed into a fruit salad or eaten alone. Kid wise, my kids like to just eat it right out of the rind. Can't beat that for ease and nutrition!

Kiwi 5/$1 #40 on the Clean Fifteen List
This is an unadvertised in-store special this week and so a nice little unexpected bonus for the girls. Too bad most of them are still on the hard side and will need a few more days to ripen on my kitchen window. You would think that since I have the Buyer's Guide to Kiwi readily available at my fingertips that I would have bought at least a few ripe ones, but nope, didn't happen. LOL!

I grew up eating potatoes. Mashed, baked, french fried, scalloped, you name it, we ate some version of it during every dinner meal. Till today I still love potatoes, and although I don't cook them everyday for my family like my Mom did, we still eat enough to go thru a 10lb bag every month.
