365 Brand (Organic) Salsa

*sigh*...unfortunately, we don't care for this brand of salsa at all. Very lacking in the taste of tomato. We bought the medium and I'm sorry to say, that the "hotness" tasted like that of just plain old hot sauce

. Not to mention the first thing we noticed upon opening the jar, was that the salsa was very watery. Bummer. Our FAVE salsa, so far, is Full Circle Organic Salsa (Big Y carries this brand). Super tasty and delish ~ all the way around. Another two favorites are Newman's Own and I think it's called Green Mountain Salsa. We don't buy that one as frequently. Any other thoughts on the 365 brand salsa?

I'm sorry you didn't like it-- we're pretty picky about jarred salsa over here as nothing seems to hold a candle to freshly made. The Green Mountain Gringo is one we buy regularly too. I'll have to try the Full Circle stuff since they carry that line at our Weis markets in this area.

3rd the fresh HM salsa!!! We get the 505 brand & the mild is nasty bland, while the medium is very spicy. I have to buy both & mix. And I love spicy stuff!

What is the 505 brand? Don't think I've ever heard of that one.

I'm wondering if they're discontinuing the organic one, because it's not listed on their site, and Amazon & Sams shows it as not available:

I haven't tried their salsa yet, but thanks for the review.

I'm usually indifferent when it comes to salsa, but hubby is really particular. He prefers his own handmade over anything (actually, he prefers his MOM'S handmade over anything!), but he does buy the "deli style" salsa when he's not in the mood to make it himself.

What I think is funny about the 505 salsa is that it's a throwback to New Mexico. For those that don't know, up until a few years ago the whole state was a 505 area code. Anyway, the point of that was that when I lived in New Mexico, NO ONE there liked the 505 salsa!
