SMILE Grow Salad "greens" year round

Ok, I read this the other day, haven't tried it, but thought it sounded interesting, so we're going to try it out.

Apparently, you can grow corn in the dark. Corn stalks grow whether they are indoors in the light or in a closet in the dark. The difference being, the shoots will be green growing in the light. But in the dark, they grow yellow. Well, the stalks grown in the dark that are yellow are sweet and edible.

Pot them like you normally world and then stick them on a closet shelf somewhere. You still have to water, but when the stalks are 6-8 inches high, you can cut the leafy part and add them to salads.

Hmm. That's interesting. I wonder what the nutritional value of that is?
