HOT! Costco/BGE instant deal on CFLs

I've been looking for those weird CFLs, not the twists but the new overhead eyeball/can lights/spot lights/exterior...and they have them now at Costco!

AND...BGE is giving an INSTANT $3 rebate on every package.

Wowzers! This is fantastic news! I would love to switch our lights over- at least some of them that we use daily. Our chandelier over the dining room table takes 6 bulbs and they are constantly burning out. Now these would be a great deal. I promised my Aunt I would take her to Costco next week (she has never been there) and she is constantly looking for ways to lower her electric bill. She's retired and lives all alone in a fairly large home so the rate hike really hit her hard. She'll be excited about this too- thanks so much for the heads up!

For us, this "completes" our cross over to CFLs! Except these stupid tiny little clear flame shaped bulbs that we never use so didn't buy.

And DH is thrilled -- I was going to blog on it, but changing these over and a few other changes and we have cut our power usage by 82% from two years ago (and we didn't have unusually high usage or anything)

Compact fluorescent bulbs= CFL.

They still carry them at the Costco stores in my area of MD. They are in the aisle with the batteries near where they have small home appliances.
