Burt's Bees & Weleda at Walgreens!!!

Just got back from Walgreens and they had the Burt's Bees Citrus & Ginger Root hand soaps clearanced for $1.79! I got the last 3 they had. These usually sell for $6.99. They also have the Lip Shimmers clearanced for $1.09.

The Weleda Skin Food Moisturizer was clearanced for $4.29. I had a $2 off coupon, so I got it for $2.29! These are usually about $15.

I did 2 transactions. I bought the $2 Scunci pony tail holders and the $3.29 Colgate Fresh Max toothbrush in my first transaction. Both are FREE after Register Rewards. I also used a $0.75/1 Colgate manual toothbrush coupon, so I 'made' money on it. Then I used my $2 Weleda coupon and the RR towards the Burt's and Weleda in the second transaction. So, 3 Burt's hand soaps, 1 Weleda Skin Food, 1 toothbrush and a pack of Scunci's for around $7.50!!!

I went to another Walgreen's around the corner, but the soaps were only clearanced at $3.59 and the Shimmers were like $2.09. That's still not a bad price, but I passed for now hoping they'll be cheaper in a couple days and still in stock. The Skin Food was also $4.29 at this store.

Wow those are great finds! I don't have a Walgreen's close enough to me to shop there regularly, but sometimes I venture out that way and stop in to look for goodies. I might have to check for these deals!

Thanks for the reminder! I saw these at my Wag's the other day and then forgot about them in this past weekends rush. Shame on me. Did your tags say something about the sale/clearance prices being good until October 2009. Mine did and I thought that was kind of odd. Fine by me though.

These were the bright orange tags that say LAST CHANCE clearance. I don't recall seeing anything about it saying good until Oct. 2009. Too bad, b/c I'd buy those every week until Oct. for $1.79, LOL!

I was on the phone w/a CSR from Weleda today and he told me Walgreens is dropping them, hence why all the Weleda stuff is going on clearance there. So, if yours aren't on clearance yet, they probably will be soon. The Almond Cleansing Lotions were $4 at mine and w/the $3 coupon that makes them $1! None are expired yet either. The products I got all had either July or December 2009 expiration dates. The coupons have NED. If you don't have coupons call them at 1.800.241.1030 and ask to sign up to get their magazine (it has the coupons in it). You can also sign up on their website Home | Weleda North America and they say it takes 4-6 weeks. I signed up online about 8 weeks ago or so, but still hadn't received the magazine, so that is why I called today. They said they mailed it in April.

Anyhow, they send they would mail me out one today. So, if you call you may get it faster.

I cleaned up on the Burt's Bees lip shimmers and a few regular lip sticks (like Chapsticks)

What I like to do is go in and talk with the manager and ask them if I buy all they have on clearance what sort of discount can I get. Well I ended up paying $0.50 each and bout 50 of them.

Stores need to get rid of clearance stuff and often times are willing to make you a deal if you buy it all up.

Great tip, Heidi! I'm heading to Walgreens after I pick up the peanut from school. Hopefully I can snag some of clearanced Weleda skin care items. Anyone have a particular favorite?

I got a sample of the Wild Rose Cleansing Lotion w/the Skin Food I bought and LOVE it! Unfortunately, I couldn't find any Wild Rose items at my Walgreens. I do like the Almond moisturizer for sensitive skin I got, as well as the Almond Cleansing Lotion, but I do prefer the Wild Rose. The Skin Food is a bit greasy IMO, but it seems to work well on knees and elbows or other dry/rough skin areas.

Yesterday I went to another Walgreens that I haven't been to in some time and they had the best selection of Weleda products I've seen so far. Their clearance wasn't as cheap as the other Walgreens yet though. Anyhow, I got a Wild Rose Cleansing Lotion for $6 w/coupon and a Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream for $2 w/coupon. I absolutely LOVE the Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream! Best hand cream I've ever used IMO. It absorbs very well and doesn't leave a greasy film like some do. Hopefully the clearance prices will drop down further before they sell out, so I can go back and clean up w/all my coupons. If not, I'll try queenofthehive's approach. I've received so many of these Weleda coupons as extras in trades over the last few months, good thing I held on to most of them! Plus, I finally got my booklet a few days ago.

p.s. Don't forget to check the exp. dates on the bottom of the box b/c a couple of the items I checked expired in January, but most were good thru June and December.

I received my bag today! Very nice! It's made of recycled fibers. They even sent some wildflower seeds w/it!

I found the Burt's Bees Mini Lip Gloss Collection 4-pack of different shades in clearance for $3 (regularly $14.99). Burt's Bees Single Tin of the original lip balm for $0.74. Shimmers Duo Pack for $2.

I did the RR deals on the Reach Ultraclean toothbrushes/floss. You buy 2 FOR $5 and get $3 RR back. I bought 2 toothbrushes and used the BOGO Free Reach Ultraclean toothbrush coupons from one of the inserts a few weeks ago. After coupon and tax I paid $2.83. Then I used the RR in a second transaction and got the $3 Lip Gloss Collection for $0.20. So, 2 toothbrushes and 4-pack of Burt's Lip Glosses for $3.03.
