For those of you who have never ordered from Drugstore.com before, here is information on their free shipping deals and shipping rates:

Free shipping on orders of $25 or more for FIRST time customers.

Free shipping on orders of $49 or more for returning customers.

They do send out promotional emails occassionally for free shipping on $25 or more orders for returning customers.

These numbers are estimates based on our most common orders. The times listed above are in business days (Monday through Friday, excluding all national holidays). We can only begin to investigate lost orders shipped via Standard shipping once 10 business days have passed since the date of shipment.

OTC/Rx Mixed Orders
Mixed orders containing prescription and non-prescription items will be shipped separately via standard shipping, 3-day, 2-day or Overnight and will be charged both the non-prescription and prescription rates, unless your OTC order qualifies for free standard shipping.1 Processing, shipping and delivery times for mixed orders will vary according to the OTC policy/procedure outlined above. The site will indicate all applicable charges prior to order placement.

Certain items are ineligible for our Everyday Free Shipping Program and free or discounted shipping promotions. The minimum purchase required for Everyday Free Shipping or free or discounted shipping promotions doesn't include, and free or discounted shipping doesn't apply to, contact lenses, gift certificates, bulk orders, orders over 20 pounds, applicable shipping charges or sales tax. Free or discounted shipping doesn't apply to backorder, preorder, heavy or oversize items. Eligible non-prescription items are marked with our free shipping truck logo on the product information pages. If you have one or more ineligible items in your cart, you will be asked to remove the item(s) if you wish to qualify for free or discounted shipping.

² Order Processing Deadlines

• 3-Day, 2-Day or Overnight Order Processing
  For overnight and 2-day shipping, orders received before 3 p.m. Eastern Time Monday through Friday (except holidays) will be processed the same day. For 3-day shipping, orders must be received before 1 p.m. Eastern Time Monday through Friday (except holidays) in order to be processed the same day. Orders received after the cutoff time will be processed the next day (or, if the next day is a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, the next business day). We will send you an order shipped confirmation when we have finished processing your order and our transportation partner has picked it up for delivery.
  
  Our transportation partners do not process orders on the weekend. Therefore, if you place an order after the cutoff time on Friday, you may experience a delay between your order shipped confirmation e-mail and the actual shipment of your order.
  
  
• Perishable Items
  Some of the items we sell are considered "perishable". This means that the item is prepared fresh for you at the time you order it. Because the item is fresh, it is kept refrigerated during shipping. Perishable packages are not in transit on Saturday and Sunday, so for this reason any item noted as perishable must be placed by strict deadlines in order to avoid weekend transit. Shipping Carriers
Orders shipped via Standard Shipping will be shipped via the US Postal Service or UPS. Unfortunately, there is no way to guarantee that your order will be shipped via a specific method when you choose standard delivery unless you have a P.O. Box. If you have a P.O. Box, all orders will be shipped via the US Postal Service.
Orders shipped via 3-Day, 2-Day and Overnight are all shipped via UPS. Please note when using expedited shipping methods we cannot request or guarantee delivery by a specific time. Generally UPS will deliver your package by 8 pm on the estimated date of delivery. Due to the fact that UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses, we will be unable to ship via an expedited method to these addresses.
Weekend Delivery
Expedited orders shipped via UPS (Overnight, 2-day, and 3-day) are delivered Monday through Friday only. Orders shipped via USPS (Standard) are delivered Monday through Saturday. Delivery is not available on Sundays.
Default Shipping Address
Your default shipping address is the one used on your most recent order. At Checkout, you can change your shipping address by clicking the "change" button located directly beneath the default address. This will allow you to choose another address, or enter a new address in the spaces provided.
You can change your shipping address at any time in the Shipping Addresses area of Your Account. You can add, delete, or edit any of your shipping addresses. Changes you make via the Shipping Addresses area of Your Account will not affect orders you have already placed.
Items on Order
If you notice that one of the items that you want to purchase is currently out of stock, there will be a date listed next to the product stating when we will be receiving the product back in stock. This time frame is an estimate, and is solely dependent on when the manufacturer can get the product to our distribution center. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide exact arrival dates for specific items.
You may place the backordered item into your order along with the items we do have in stock. The items we do currently have in stock will ship immediately and we will ship your backordered item as soon as we receive it back into stock with the shipping service selected on your original order. You'll receive an e-mail confirmation when your backordered item has been shipped.
Backordered and preordered items do result in an additional shipping fee of only $1.99. Unfortunately, there is not a way to hold the order until we receive all items in stock.
Occasionally an item's status will change after you place your order, but before we process it. In this case, we will send the item as soon as we can at no additional shipping cost to you*.
If the first portion of your order has already shipped, and you've realized that you cannot wait for the backordered item, you may cancel it easily. Click here to view instructions on how to cancel an order. Once you have submitted your cancellation request you will receive an e-mail within 30 minutes confirming that your backordered item has been canceled. The canceled items will not be shipped or billed to your account.

I just wanted to add, if you are a customer, you will receive promotions via email. I just got one for $5 off a $25 natural/green order for the month of Septmeber.

Combined with the sale items in the natural/green section this month, I should get a great deal. I also received a free shipping on a $25 order this month. We will see if I can stack my discounts??? I am not sure???
