THUMBS UP My Shopping Trip to Earth Fare

I've been reading an excellent book called "Nourishing Traditions" by Sally Fallon and decided we HAVE to change the way we are eating!

I haven't been to Earthfare for a while. Their prices are really not in my budget. (So I thought!)

I paid them a visit a couple weeks ago and was so excited! I got a buggy load of items for $40 and I didn't even use coupons. I took advantage of the reduced produce, close-out items, bulk items, and the marked down/clearanced items hidden in the corner.

I had been eye-balling the organic unrefined coconut oil but I just couldn't bring myself to pay $16 for it. I stood on the aisle for a good 5 minutes debating whether or not to buy it. Finally I put it back. To my surprise, on the clearance rack there sat the SAME jar of coconut oil marked down to 99c because there was a dent in the lid! I was so excited!!!

I decided that I CAN feed my family healthy and not break the bank!!!

Oh! And I saw my very first wine tag today!!! It was $2 off produce. I could have used it but I was too shy to take it off the bottle!

Go back and get it! omg! lol.

TN doesn't have winetags, but I tell you what, if we ever somehow got some and I saw them...I'd be so selfish and grab like 65% of them man.

Wow! I went in and trolled around the aisles for a bit, paying more attention than I have the other time I was in there. Regular prices were still astornomical! But, thanks to this post, I want and looked hard at the produce section and found a bunch of organic bananas for 49c for the bunch, and dole romaine prepackaged lettuce for 99c each, the ones I usually pay 2.50 for on sale at Krogers!

They even have a water gallon machine, were you can get distilled water or refined, I think it is, water for 49c a gallon when you refill, so will definately be going back considering walmart's is 33c a gallon, so not too much of a difference. (Plus, the one WM store I worked at couldn't get the Culligans guy to come in, so they just let people keep refilling their gallons and paying for it when it was just regular tap water the customer could have gotten from their homes anyways).

So what do you use coconut oil for? And if I were you I would go grab a few of those produce winetags...

Yep, definitely grab the produce WT's. If you feel too guilty using them, you can always mail them to me! ;)
