I wanted to post some upsetting news about a great South Florida organic company. Delicious Organics has been a small locally run organic grocery company for the past few years. They sell everything that would be on your grocery list from fruit to vegies to meat to snacks to household products AND they deliver too...all the way from the Keys thru Palm Beach County. Their products are MUCH cheaper than retail locations because they don't have the overhead that a Whole Foos has. Anyway, because of the economy, they have closed for now. They want to reopen but need more support from the community. Please check out the company and if you are interested in a delivery then let them know. The supplies on the website are low now because they have shut down, but they definately want to open back up with new customers. Here's why it's so great.
1. It's convenient...instead of spending time driving to Publix, wandering the aisles, driving home, unpacking etc, at Delicious Organics you just click through your grocery shopping and get it all delivered. You don't even have to be home, they can leave the cooler at your door.
2. You'll find great little brands that can't make it into the big stores.
3. It's organic
4. It's cheaper than anything you can find at other grocery stores.
5. Support a small local company.

I am not an employee of Delicious Organics. I just feel this strongly about how this company has made organic eating and living a more viable option for me.

I know that many of us are unhappy about the closing of Delicious Organics. Happily though, there is an alternative. Farm fresh Miami operates an organic produce co-op for the Miami/south Florida region. Currently, we have one active group in Belle Meade with plans to expand to Miami Shores, El Portal, Aventura, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables and the Downtown/Brickell areas. Farm fresh Miami does not deliver but instead invites its members to pick up local, organic, seasonal produce on a bi-weekly basis at a host site, usually within walking distance of your home. The prices are way below grocery store prices and the quality is far superior. Additionally, we do our best to support local farmers by buying regional and all of our produce is certified organic.
