Why can't I see the "normal" headers until after I get into a forum???

I have the box checked to keep me logged in until I log myself out, but the "welcome" header is always up when I first get to OGD. It is annoying me, b/c mainly I just want to check the new posts if I only have a few minutes.

Okay, I figued it out. Let me explain what I am talking about though, JIC someone else has the same prob.

This is what comes up if you stay logged in:
User CP Blogs FAQ Member's List Coupon Resources New Posts Search Quick Links Log Out

But when you first get on the site it doesn't have User CP, Q resources, or New Posts...I had to go into a forum before I would see all of my options.

This is what I did to fix it. I had OGD as a homepage tab, which opens up when I open IE. I must have set it as a homepage tab before I signed up to be a part of the community. I removed it as a homepage tab, and then added it again after I had signed up and logged in. Now I am able to get all the linx at the beginning.

My guess is that you bookmarked it while not logged in and thats the setting it remembers. I have the same issue in firefox if I forget to login before setting bookmarks. It also likes to keep me logged in under an old username I had changed at one site.
