Giant weekly specials 10/23-10/29

It's a new week, Giant shoppers!

It looks like Giant is continuing to offer weekly specials on their store brand of organic produce. Nature's Promise organic celery hearts are $2.49/pkg and organic romaine hearts are 2/$5.

I was also excited to see the following deal that actually includes organic and natural products: Buy $20 worth of participating products and get $5 off your next order. Some of the items worth mentioning include Newman's Own pasta sauce (on sale this week, 2/$4...paired with a coupon from the database, even better) and salad dressings. Some other brands included in the promotion--Daisy sour cream (Although not organic, I like it because it has the fewest number of ingredients of all the sour cream brands I can find locally), Spice Island spices, and Pyrex Storage containers (these are also 25% off). It seems like it will be pretty easy to spend $20. :)

I just noticed my Giant has started carrying Wallaby yogurt. The organic, nonfat kind is on sale this week, 10 for $10. I might have to stray from my favorite brand, Stonyfield, to try this. And, I will be looking to see if Giant has any of the new Stonyfield flavors.

I could actually use some larger glass storage containers for leftover soups & stews so the deal with the Pyrex sounds really good. The Wallaby yogurt has some flavors that are different from what other brands offer- I like the orange flavored one every once in awhile as a change.
