Giant weekly specials 10/30-11/5

Another week of Giant deals! I was happily surprised to see another week of 4 $1 doublers when I opened my circular today. For new Giant shoppers, these are coupons located in the paper circular that essentially double any $1 manufacturer's coupon. They typically are found in circulars in the local paper or via mail, not the ones located in the front of the store. You can request a weekly ad to be mailed to your home here.

The best deal this week seems to be Stonyfield Farm Organic Yogurt--6oz cups are 10 for $5 this week.

The only organic produce on sale this week are the packages of Nature's Promise Organic Salad at $3.49/pkg. I may pick some up this week....this time of year, I like to make salads with walnuts, blue cheese, diced apples and homemade apple cider vinegar dressing. The dressing is so easy to make--I just pour olive oil, the cider vinegar, salt, pepper, and a little honey into a jar and shake it til it's combined. I don't even measure...just add everything to taste.

Other items on sale include Nature's Promise Organic Salsa...2 for $5. I do like their salsa, and the price is reasonable for organic. Avocados are on sale, too, 4 for $5. And although not organic, they one of the 'clean fifteen' (conventionally grown veggies & fruit with lower amounts of pesticides). Maybe Mexican night one night this week.

Green & Black's Chocolate Bars (organic, all varieties) are on sale 2 for $4. These would make great stocking stuffers (if you can keep from eating them!)

I know! We have a Giant within walking distance, so I'm hoping that this particular store carries them. I did the same thing as you suggested and used them as stocking stuffers last year and they were a big hit. And I definitely agree with you that the trick is hiding them until then!
