I did NOT know that Hershey's owned Dagoba.

Wow! I didn't realize that Odwalla was owned by Coke. Thanks for the link.

I really enjoyed this article! I'd encourage each of our members to read it.

I totally lol'd at this: I’m not sure what the giggling children on the Horizon website have to do with organic milk, in fact, I’m not sure what Horizon has to do with organic milk either. *snicker*

I remember seeing a link to a chart here a little while back notating who actually owns what. Now that chart really surprised.

I also found it interesting to read that Stonyfield Farms felt the need to defend themselves regarding their "outsourcing" of dairy products. It makes you wonder who is telling the truest of the stories here.

great article, the writer says that silk sneakily changed the silk milk from organic to natural, but i sure noticed! What makes it worse is now the only conventional store i can find the organic variety at is super target, so not at my hyvee, walmart or other grocery stores, they only sell the non-organic stuff now, so i am often buying the store brand stuff because i only go to target once a month or so.

I've read several stories along these lines recently - really makes you think twice about what goes into your grocery cart!

I'm trying to support the independent companies and local producers.
