My kids want chickens so badly...I read these articles about it and about the cost per egg and I always think to myself, as a couponer, I can find a way to get the cost of feeding and maintaining a chicken lower than the average person, it would make my eggs basically free if we were to do it....but then there's the whole caring for and mess part of having them. So, back to the store for me!

We had 3 eggs from our friend's chickens. They we SO much better than store bought. Super fresh and DS loved the fact that he found them and took them home to eat.
