I requested a coupon from Arico Foods today, 3/7/08. I forgot the address so she emailed me back and said"We would love to send you coupons for you to try our products. Can you provide me with your mailing address and I’ll let you know where the nearest store is for you?" So it is a good idea to send that information with your first email. Just so happened the closest store to me was Whole Foods in St. Louis, Mo. I will let you knw when i get it an d what I get.

I always sign my emails with my name followed by my address, even if the address is already requested in the required fields.

For those of you who have contacted the companies, have you only done it once (ie do they do only 1 time coupon) or can you contact them on quarterly or monthly basis?

I dont have a routine on cantacting them, so I just go through a couple every few months, but I think it is suggested to contact them every 3 months or so

I wrote to a bunch of companies and complimented their products last night, but the responses I got were more "thank you" than "we'll send you coupons." Should I change my tactics? Or do you think something might show up in the mail anyway?

I have had it happen both ways. If you don't hear by email, just wait for a surprise when you least expect it. Also, I have had some that don't email back or send by mail - just nothing at all.

I contacted 7th. They will be sending samples, coupons and would like feedback concerning my experience.

Someone at the chat mentioned that their Babie's R Us had 7th on sale half off - could not figure out if it was just on laundry detergent or not and also could not figure out if it was a local thing or nationwide.

UPDATE: They do not have free samples or coupons and do not see ever having them in the future either. BUT if you sign up for their newsletter you can receive 5% off on online orders. To me, I can get it cheaper when King Soopers puts it on sale.

I got 2 40 cents off any size any variety one Robert's American Gourmet All Natural Snack Food coupons in the mail today . I also got a bunch of stickers that say " GOt Booty" and "Booty Head" on them.( I should note that there are no barcodes on these coupons. We'll see how that goes.....)

UPDATE: Stretch Island Fruit Comapny e-mailed me to be on the lookout for coupons. Good Earth Tea and Tazo Tea currently are not offering any coupons. DARN! Ecoover has a coupon request form right on their Website so those should be on their way as well.

One BIG favor from those that have received coupons: Can you please also list the coupons individually in the Home Mailer section? That way some visitors on the board that may not look in this thread will see that they're out there. Also, don't forget to add them to the DB. In the comments you could just say "requested from company". If you don't have time to add them, just mention it, and I'll be glad to. Thanks you guys for helping us stay on top on what coupons are available!

I did not go into chat, but I have contacted companies and gotten results (see below). I contacted them and gave personal/true info.--not just trying to get q's--and was surprised to get the following:

1. Tofutti--(3/15) sent personal email about use of products--received 1 FREE Q up to $3.99 NED, and 4 $1/1 NED Q's

2. BioKleen--(3/20) sent personal email about trying their products for the 1st time/going organic/chemical free, asked about samples and q's--sent 4 $.50/1 any Q's

3. Kashi--(3/??) filled in form on website complimenting their products--received 2 FREE Q's up to $4.99, exp. /09

4. FruitaBu--(3/28) signed up to be part of the Smooshed Squad!--no response yet

5. Back to Nature--(3/28) filled form in on website questioning product ingredients and asked about Q's--got email stating no Q's right now, but told me to look for peelies, tearpads, etc. @ stores

6. Maranatha Nut Butters--(3/29) sent personal email requesting Q's--still haven't heard back as of 4/16

7. LARABAR--(3/29) filled in form on website requesting samples or Q's--received email stating that they don't have Q's but are sending a sample pack of products to try--recieved 4 Larabars, held together w/ Larabar labelled elastic, Larabar stickers and info pamphlet (These were DELICIOUS, by the way)

8. Spectrum Organics--(3/29) sent personal email complimenting product--still haven't heard back as of 4/16

9. Earth's Best--(4/16) sent message on website requesting q's & asked questions about products and availability

Bear Naked sent 3 $1 off qs

Garden of Eatin sent (6) $0.55/1 qs for Garden of Eatin, Arrowhead Mills, and Casbah

Galaxy Foods sent a booklet with over $10 in qs plus some other $1 qs

Silk sent me one $1 off q

Yves sent a FREE q, 2 0.55 qs, and 2 .55 qs for Imagine product

I wrote an email to NEWMAN'S OWN ORGANICS -- The Second Generation Web Site to tell them I enjoyed their products. They wrote me back asking for my mailing address so they could send me coupons. A few days later I received 3 for any free products of theirs. And they don't expire until 12/31/09 how great is that?

I also wrote to Seeds of Change and complimented their products. They just sent me a thank you email. (boo!)

Hi! This list is just a compilation "head's up!" to let each other know what companies will send out coupons when you contact them. There are not any direct links to the free coupons. You can use the company's "contact us" page to request coupons to try a new product or to leave a comment/compliment about a product that you have tried. In most cases (though not all) the company will respond by sending you coupons.

Most smaller companies don't have the advertising budget to place coupons in Sunday inserts/magazines/etc, but are happy to send them to consumers who genuinely are interested in their products.

I joined Mothers of Organics on the Organic Valley website and I just got my "packet" yesterday. It included $5.00 worth of coupons, a bumper sticker, a kids booklet with activities, a health checksheet for pregnant women, and a book about how it all got started.

I also just found www.naturesplus.com who's supplements I use and also give to my daughter. You can go to their website and sign up to receive coupons. I just did it today, so I'll let you know when I receive them.

I only managed to email 2 companies so far (got a very demanding Toddler who always unplugs the computer)
I emailed Earthbound Farms and received my coupons in the mail today.
I also emailed Fruitabu and got an email that the coupons will be send to the address I provided

That's excellent! Amy's is always great about rewarding their loyal customers, as is Kashi.

A few years ago we had a day where we had a group chat and spent a few hours sending off those letters and requests that we always intend to send but never do. If there is any interest in that I'd be glad to host another one! It's always so much easier when you get together as a group and share tips and strategies. It makes it so much less of a chore and more of a fun experience!
