Kroger Louisville Region 8/16 - 8/22

I feel like I haven't really grocery shopped at all this summer. We've traveled so much, that when we were home we just picked up what was needed for a few dinners here and there. That's all about to change as we swing back into the groove of a school schedule. Plus, I have to start shopping for healthy packable lunch options for both myself and the kiddo. Here are a few of my picks this week:

Homegrown Cucumbers 3/$1
(#19 on the Dirty Dozen list)
Cucumbers scream "summer", no? School or no school, I'm wanting to hold onto to summer for as long as I can. I'll be picking up some of these to toss into salad, or possibly to make fresh tzatziki.

Homegrown Eggplant .99
(A Clean Fifteen food!)
Eggplant is in season for September, and the ones in my paper are advertized as locally grown. Remember, growing season may differ in different areas, so check your local farmer's markets to see what's "in" for your area.

Private Selection Organic Cut Veggies 2/$5
These little bags of precut veggies are nice to pick up when you're in a hurry to prepare a fresh meal. All the cutting has been done for you, just rinse and steam or add to rice for a quick stir-fry.

Amy's Frozen Burritos 2/$4 & Cedarlane Frozen Entrees b1g1
Print a .50/1 Amy's Burrito coupon here: Stonyfield Farm E-Coupons. If your Kroger doubles these, that'll make them $1ea. Also, search the database for additional coupons that are out.

And lastly, there is a current promo where you can mix and match 10 items and get $5 off your order. The promo includes these natural/organic items: Stacy's Pita Chips, Frito Lay Naturals, Cascadian Farms Organic Cereals, IZZE Sparkling Drinks. Don't forget, you can use coupons for this promo to get your out of pocket payment lower. I know there are tons of Cascadian Farms coupons out and about, and possibly others, too. Check the database.

What good deals are you finding at Kroger this week? Let us know!
