Private Selection Organics

I had an interesting conversation yesterday with a gentleman stocking the natural section in my Kroger. Apparently Kroger keeps Kroger brand organics out of the "natural" section because the price difference can be so large and directs customers towards the more expensive brands. I took the time to go through my store and found alot more Private Selection organic items then I was aware of they carried. Since I am on a very tight budget, this helps me buy more organic items that will not break the bank. I also found some Kroger brand organic coupons lately around the store. So check out the regular aisles as well if you are in Kroger stores and look very high and low, because I seem to find these items either on the very top sheld or the very bottom shelf.

That's good to know. Thanks! It's amazing what a little bit of conversing with a store employee will yield when you ask the right questions and they are willing to answer them honestly.

Thank you. I usually make a beeline for the natural section of my kroger and hadn't thought to look around the other aisles for more of their store brand organic items. Good to know

I totally agree and wondered why they weren't in the "natural section."

I have found organic beans- they are on sale now( in central VA) for about $1 a can, organic no salt added diced tomatoes, organic soymilk, canned veggies- corn, peas, green beans, ketchup, pasta, pasta sauce- the tomato basil is really good and contains no dairy. Chicken breasts, legs, and thighs. Chicken broth in the 1 quart boxes, baby food.

I love kroger and am anxiously awaiting a new one opening near me in April that is supposed to have a 3x bigger natural section than my store now :)

Stop and Shop seems to do the same thing. Although, more recently, they have their organics mixed in...the regular aisles and with the natural foods.
