Exercise Training for a triathlon!

Okay, every year I have the goal to complete a triathlon. It seems like just as I was about to train for one, I got pregnant. So, I have a nice road bike itching to be in a race. I have been taking cycling classes twice a week for almost 10 months and feel like I can venture out on my road bike again without fear of killing myself. I have a decent swimming and running history but I despise running in the heat. My goal is to do a triathlon next summer. Tonight, I started on my training a bit by getting my body back in the water. I swam about 300 meters (12 lengths of the pool) before I was beat. I then dried off and went into my cycling class. I feel tired but great! I realized I need to build up my swim endurance and once it gets a little cooler around here, I will venture out to run. I have surgery in about a month so there is a little setback there with my recovery but I plan on meeting this goal next year.

Anybody have experience with triathlons? I'd love some advice as far as training, etc!

No experience here, but I commend you for setting the goal!
