    RX Dr. Oz on Pimples

I was just watching the Dr. Oz show from yesterday, and he had some interesting info on pimples. What really stood out to me is at the end of the segment he aas suggesting a product that had Sea Buckthorn Oil in it, and although the brand was covered up, it was obvious from the package/design that it was a Weleda product.

This is what he was suggesting to put on your face to help control pimples:
Organic Massage Oil: Sea Buckthorn Body Oil | Weleda North America

Just a little FYI that I thought everyone might like!

Did you post this for me?

Good info. I've never found anything to help with pimples. Ever.

I didn't post it specifically for you, but if it works for you then I'm glad! I had terrible skin in middle school and part of highschool. I remember one girl in the 7th grade told me that my face looked like a pepperoni pizza. Mortifying-- the sad thing was, she was right!

I get occasional breakouts now and what really works for me is the Desert Essence blemish touch stick. It stinks to high heaven of tea tree oil, but it works really well on those painful little pimples that I get around the bottom of my nose and chin.

I saw a segment last week on Dr. Oz regarding how to properly pop a pimple and I was so sure you were posting about that. LOL! Sterile needle to poke a small hole in the pimple... then let it oooze without squeezing it.

I have more acne now than I did when I was a teen and so I am always bummed about it. If I could find something that would just give me clear skin forever, I would be thrilled, but alas that probably won't happen in my lifetime. So for now I have been using Burt's Bees Natural Acne Solutions Targeted Spot Treatment with mediocre results. *sigh* My sister suggested using toothpaste to dry out the pimple faster and it seems to work a bit, but c'mon who wants to walk around with toothpaste on their face all day? LOL!

*sigh*...and I thought it was just me. I mean, come ON. I'm 45 and I have more zits NOW than I did as a teenager. Seriously. It's only during "that time of the month" and it's just a couple here and there, but still. I use...are you ready...Oxy Spot Treatment. I know. Chemicals. Like, oodles of them. But it's the tinted one and you can just dab a bit on the pimple with a Q-tip and it actually blends in with your skin. Then, of course, the foundation or mineral powder (whatever makeup you where) and it's not *that* bad. I do the needle thing, but I *do* squeeze. Then I don't know when to stop!! Good to see I'm not alone here:~) (well, you know what I mean!!)

i did some research, although it was just online, i forget the site is was a couple years ago and the site suggested that dairy may be a cause of pimples/acne, i know when I eliminated it from my diet, my skin was very clear. Of course i'm eating it again and i do get pimples now at 27, had moderate acne all through teens and took pills for that, if only i knew then that if i had stopped chugging all that milk everyday, my skin would have cleared up on it's own...Just food for thought.

Anyone have milia? Like a pimple but more like a whitehead. Very hard to pop. Wash my face faithfully but I can't seem to escape a few of these little zitsy things. Grrr.

I had very bad skin as a teenage and early 20s. I used to take oral medication for it. I still get cyst acne every now and then. The product that works best for me is by Mario Badescu. I love their toners and also the drying cream and buffering lotion. They are not cheap, but it lasts a long time. They also have this powder stuff that is used for blackheads that's pretty neat. I get it at Cosmetic Market. And they've always given me sample to try when I've asked. I don't know if it passes the 'skin deep' test or whatever that is but it worked and it was the only product I could find 5 years ago that said it was safe for use during pregnancy (when I was breaking out like a 14 year old).
