Conventional foods database

I wasn't sure where to post this...but is there some place where you can look up conventional foods to see how bad/good they are? For instance, I have intestinal problems so I drink slim fast shakes because they are easy to digest. I was wondering how bad they really are because I think they have a lot of sugar in them.

Though I can't say for sure, since I've never looked at one, but look at the ingredients and see how many of them you can pronounce. It could be filled with more chemicals and manmade sugars than actual sugar.

I'm sure perusing the web for something that can tell you that stuff might get you somewhere. I'll see what I can find.

Nutrition Data is a good place to start, it has some manufactured items, such as Ensure:
Nutrition facts, calories in food, labels, nutritional information and analysis – NutritionData.com

You can also go to the manufacturer's website for nutrition labels if you don't already have the food at hand.
