Why would you buy aluminum water bottles? There are plenty of stainless steel ones out there. Why poison yourself?

If it's not certified for food use, some stainless steel can be poison too, leaching heavy metals, especially when exposed to acidic liquids. Most of these bottles, stainless or aluminum, are coated w/some type of liner. I wonder about the real safety of plastic like lining in these bottles?

Aluminum has been linked to alzheimers. There is no lining in cooking pots, or baking soda with aluminum, or in foil, etc. You wonder about the plastic lining- yeah, BPA, toxic leaching, etc. With you on that one. We're in the process of removing plastics from our home.

If you happen to be near a Pottery Barn store look around for the clearance section -- I saw the basketweave bottle in-store about a week ago for $6.99.
