Harris Teeter Shoppers?

Hubby and I took a little trip to the new-ish Harris Teeter a couple of weekends ago. They were having triples that weekend, and I was curious if I could get good organic deals there.

I thought the prices on most of the organic pantry items were absolutely outrageous. Even with a triple coupon, I could still get the item cheaper at the natural foods store using the coupon at face value.

There were some good prices on produce, and some decent prices on their store brand organics (the name escapes me).

Does anyone shop at Harris Teeter for organics? Do you find good deals? If you have any tips, please share them.

The ONLY time I shop at HT is on Triple coupon weekends when their sales and coupons match up. They are higher than any other store around here.

you definately have to be prepared with sales and coupons. right now at my HT (mooresville, nc) there are 0.55/1 earthbound farms coupons right beside the packaged lettuces. and those lettuces are on sale for $3.50 each with a coupon doubled comes to $2.40 each. not too bad for a fabulous spinach salad! they will mark their amy's frozen stuff to a reasonable price, oikos and stonyfield yogurt, too. i always get organic valley milk there with a printable $2/2 coupon you can get by going HERE. i love harris teeter because they are the only ones around my area who carry a lot of great brands that i like. and sign up for e-vic. last week i got some organic chicken broth for $0.89 with a special they sent to my email. another great tip is to email the companies you like and ask them to send you coupons. i have found that most are very generous! hope that helps!

wjjjww, you live in mooresville? Hey I live right outside of mooresville! I've not shopped the HT on Perth Rd. just the one on Williamson. Do you ever got to the Healthy Home store in Davidson? I think Mooresville needs a Trader Joe's instead of another HT,Bloom,FL,or Lowe's!!!!!

hi! i haven't been to the ht on perth road, just to the one on williamson and the one in davidson (very nice). i like the home economist in davidson, but it is just so expensive. tip...if you do go to the home economist, and they happen to have any coupon books, get a couple and take those coupons to harris teeter where they will be doubled! i would love a trader joes. my hubby is in real estate (thus my NEED for deals!) and he has tried to get some of the organic stores to come to mooresville, but for some reason they are just not interested.
