Holiday Shopping at Hannaford This Week (Bloom's sister store)

The sale is coming to an end this Saturday, but before the new ad comes Sunday, I'll be picking up a few things.

I will be buying a few things for rebates and a few things to help ease the stress of getting everything ready for the holiday.

One thing that will be on my list is a Nature Place Rotisserie Chicken. This makes dinner a breeze, especially after baking all day and being on my bare feet on a hard floor. The regular price is $6.99 or so, plus I have a $5 rebate for one! I'm glad I've waited to do it.

I will also grab quite a few pink grapefruit. They're only $.50 each and we always have these warmed with brown sugar and spices on Christmas morning.

Organic Celery hearts are $1.99 and I just used up the last of ours for chicken noodle soup.

Not in their ad, but I noticed in store that Buitoni fresh pasta is on sale. I planned on getting some and doing another $5 pasta rebate I have. This would be a quick way to make pasta to go along with the rotisserie chicken. I hope I can find a $1 or coupon also!

I've never heard of grapefruit eaten that way. Is that something weird you Mainer's do? ;)

I think it's just something that I "cooked up" one cold winter day. It's really good. So really, we've only had them on Xmas morning for the past 5-6 years. But that makes it always, right?!
