Default Fabric Gift Bags

I saw this idea suggested in a magazine. Use cloth bags for gift giving. I can't sew for the life of me, so I looked on ETSY.com. I found a seller that had large fabric gift bags for $3/each. Smaller ones were less money.

I ordered several Christmas ones and Birthday ones.

I choose designs that I thought my kids would like now at ages 3 & 5, but would also be suitable for older kids.

I am hooked on this idea for my family.

We went to 2 birthday parties for a couple of little girls 2 weeks ago. I was looking at the gift bags & they were upwards of $3. So I figured, being girls, I'd look for some tote bags or purses to put their gifts in. Couldn't find anything. So I ended up in the home organisation section & found these cute little pop up mesh hampers for $3. Like this one. Anyhoo, I stuffed their gifts in with some tissue paper & figured even if they don't use them for clothes, they'd make great toy baskets!!

I just made a fabric gift bag for a bday party gift & posted it on my blog. It's my goal to do this for all of my gifts. Sewing them are super easy! If you have a sewing machine, I would encourage you to give it a try!

I don't know, but apparently from what I've read & heard from some OL friends, I'm not the only one. I have a note at the top of my blog that I can't comment, because I read a lot of blogs with the google comments, and I don't want people to think I'm ignoring them :(
