Forum: Trades - Current Coupons and Offers


This forum is for the trading of current or non-expired coupons, rebate forms, or other items.

You may post multiple new threads per day in the Trades - Current Coupons and Offers foum.

Having unlimited new posts in our trades forum is a great way for you to be able to post your ever changing offers. It is also a great way to find the hot coupons you need.

It is not, however a way to keep your trades and iso's at the top of the forum all day every day.
Posts found to be excessive will be deleted or combined.

The following items are allowed to be traded:

• Coupons
• Expired coupons
• Free samples
• Gift cards
• Money Orders
• Paypal handling fee (PPHF)
• Postage stamps
• Printable coupons
• Promotional forms
• Rain checks
• Rebate Forms
• Try-Me-Free forms
• UPCs

The following items are not allowed to be traded:

• Cash Register Tapes (CRTs)
• Complete deals (UPC, CRT, and Form...all items needed for a rebate)

We ask that you do not post any portion of the UPC Number of the coupon in your trading posts. A moderator WILL edit this out, and a warning and /or infraction will be issued. You MAY however post if a coupon is DND 5, DND 9, or store only coupon coded (ie starts with a 0)

It is illegal to sell coupons. You may however ask for a handling fee for your time to collect, cut, sort, and mail coupons. Listings of multiple haves over 100 of any one item is not allowed. If you have more than 100 of any one item for trade we consider you to be running a buisiness and in that case you may list your business and items for sale in the Entrepreneurs Forum for a nominal fee.


We ask that your limit the bumping (replying to your thread to make it "bump" to the top of the page) to once per day. New posts should not be bumped for a full 24 hours after you make it, and old posts should have at least 24 hours between bumps.

This gives everyone a chance to be seen. Bumping your thread on the same day it was created is not permitted. You may have friends bump your posts as long as it doesn't get out of hand.

Editing/updating your OP is not considered bumping. Adding a reply stating that you have updated your OP is bumping. Members that are found guilty of not following the bumping rules will receive a warning or infraction as determined by the mod in charge. ** see below for more details on bumping.

Violations of these rules will result in a warning or infraction.

*Bumping

• Bumping your existing post is replying to it with the message *bump* (or something similar). This will move your post back to the top of the heap and display it on the front page again.
• Anything that you do to move your post to the top of the page is considered bumping.
• Answering questions about your post is not considered bumping.
• Editing the OP is completely OK --it does not move your post. Making a separate post stating that you have edited your OP IS bumping.

Rules for: Coupon Trains and Pal Exchanges

This forum is for the posting of Coupon Trains And Pal Exchanges.

Train Rules:

The following items are allowed to be on a train (exclusions may apply to any train):

• Actuals
• Checks
• Coupons
• Expired coupons
• Free samples
• Gift cards
• Printable coupons
• Promotional codes and items (coke codes, boxtops 4 education, campbell's labels, etc.)
• Promotional forms
• Rain checks
• Rebate Forms
• Try-Me-Free forms
• UPC's

The following items are not allowed to be on a coupon train

• Cash Register Tapes (CRTs)
• Complete deals (UPC, CRT, and Form...all items needed for a rebate)

We ask that you do not post any portion of the UPC Number of the coupon in your trading posts. A moderator WILL edit this out, and a warning and /or infraction will be issued. You MAY however post if a coupon is DND 5, DND 9, or store only coupon coded (ie starts with a 0)

A train consists of a group (generally between 3 and 6 members) who share their unwanted coupons with each other. When a member (a.k.a. rider) receives the train envelope, they take out the coupons that they can use, replacing them with ones they won’t use and mail it off to the next person on the list.


There are 2 common types of trains, the only difference being the number of envelopes involved in each one.

• The basic train has only 1 envelope, making its rounds. The member coordinating the train (a.k.a. conductor) starts out the train, with a predetermined xx amount of coupons, sending it to rider A. Rider A takes out what they can use and refills it back up to xx amount of coupons, and then sends it on to rider B. It continues in this way until the last rider on the list mails it back to the conductor. At that point, either the train ride ends or the conductor can see if there is enough interest to go for Round 2.
• The multiple envelope train works the same way, except that each rider starts an envelope and mails it to the next person on the list. As each envelope arrives, take out coupons and refill as normal and mail it out. Each rider mails out to the same member until the train is completed. If a train has 5 riders, each rider will send and receive 5 envelopes.

The conductor is the person to determine all of the factors for the train, including any limitations to what can be included. A few examples of different styles are:

• Anything goes, no specific categories are excluded.
• Food Only or any other category can be chosen
• No Pets and/or Baby or any other category can be excluded
• Non-insert coupons only. (any coupon not found in the Sunday inserts can be included)

The conductor can also request that riders have a certain feedback score in order to participate in the train.

There is generally a limit of xx amount of the same coupon, to prevent having multiples of the same coupon in the envelope.

Please note that although trains are a great way to swap out your unwanted coupons for ones that you can use, they are NOT intended to be a way to get rid of those coupons that are considered ‘junk’ by the majority of couponers. Please be considerate to the other riders by including coupons that others will want to receive. In other words, unless someone is specifically asking for joint supplement coupons or something similar, chances are no one will want these and they will take up valuable space in the envelope for the duration of the train. That space would be better being taken up by a more desirable coupon. It is not fun to be on a train and receive an envelope full of worthless coupons that nobody wants to take out!

The procedure for removing expired or soon-to-be expiring coupons is also determined by the conductor. Some may ask that coupons be taken out once they have expired, while others may ask that coupons be taken out 10 days (or any # of days/weeks) prior to their expiration date. If you pull out the expireds when you have the envelope in your possession, it is up to you to replace them with longer-dated coupons.

The mailing schedule is one of the most important things as the train needs to be mailed out in a timely manner, generally within 1 or 2 days of receiving it, to ensure a quick and successful round. An envelope sitting around waiting to be mailed slows down the train and more coupons could expire before it gets to the next rider. Please be committed to fulfill the mailing obligation(s) when signing up for a train.

There is generally a message dedicated to each train in the Coupon Trains & Pal Exchanges forum. Riders can post a reply when an envelope is received and then post again when the envelope is mailed back out. Tracking the progress helps the conductor make sure that the train is staying on schedule.

Pal Exchanges Rules:

Pal Exchanges is a program for the exchange of themed gift/coupon boxes. Anyone may "Host" and organize a Secret Pal or Gift Exchange.

The rules for each round of secret pals is up to the Host of the exchange. Any rules set forth by the host are to be upheld by any member that joins the secret pal or gift exchange.

Items that are permitted to be included in Secret Pals or Gift exchanges (Subject to terms set forth by your host):

Secret Pals and Gift Exchanges are a higher outlay of money for each person that joins and you should not join if you can not afford to spend the money for the gifts and/or shipping. If an emergency situation comes up where you are not able to send your package it is YOUR responsibility to notify your host of any delays.

100% iTrader feedback score here at Organic Grocery Deals is required to host.
95% iTrader feedback score here at Organic Grocery Deals is required to participate.Feedback and trades will be accepted from another site for 1 year from your join date.

You must be a Organic Grocery Deals member for 30 days to participate in any way in Secret Pals.

You must have a Organic Grocery Deals iTrader rating of at least 5 (that is 5 sucessfull trades) in order to participate in Secret Pals.

Failure to mail your package to your pal or agreed upon recipient is considered a bad trade and can result in negative feedback left by your secret pal host.

Please read all secret pal or gift exchange threads carefully as this is where you will find the rules and conditions of joining. By sending your info to the host you are agreeing to these rules as well as the rules set forth by your host.

Rules For: Random Acts of Kindness (RAOK) Giveaways

RAOKs are Random Acts of Kindness on the part of the sender. They should be without any sort of obligation to the recipient, including postage.

Items that are permitted to be included in RAOK's:

• Free samples
• Gift cards
• Money Orders
• Paypal handling fee (PPHF)
• Postage stamps
• Printable coupons
• Promotional forms

Items that are not permitted to be included in RAOK's:

• Cash Register Tapes (CRTs)
• Complete deals (UPC, CRT, and Form...all items needed for a rebate)

If you have coupons or other items to give away and would like to be reimbursed for postage, please post these in the Trades - Current Coupons and Offers forum with an appropriate title. EX: 200+ Coupon potluck for postage only!

You can give away your RAOKs in a number of ways-- it's up to you.

• You can just PM a person for their mailing information.
• You may just say "First PM gets it."
• You may also have some sort of contest or guessing game, with the correct answer receiving the RAOK.
• Another possibility is a drawing where people post in the thread, their names are tossed in a hat, and the one selected is the winner of the RAOK.

If you are the recipient of a RAOK, it is considered courteous to leave feedback for the sender. Identify it as a trade, and say something like "Thanks for the RAOK!" in the comments.

RAOKs are fun to receive! If you get one, consider paying it forward to someone else so that they have the fun of a little something in the mail.
