There are quite a few organic deals this week. Better than last week for sure! Plus remember to look at the monthly ad thread to see what else is on sale all month! (I saw in the store some deals that expired in July, but I didn't write them down).

There is a 4-day sale this week, but the only thing that looks worth it is the Wild Chicken Lobstersfor $5.99/lb. I won't be buying any this week though. If you live in Maine or on the coast, you can find a better deal at a local fish market. Plus, you'd be supporting a local business and economy.

One thing that I will be hard to pass up this week is a dozen ears of Loose Corn for $1.99. Corn is #45 on the Clean 15, but most corn is GMO. It's a toss up to me still. Local corn is not ready yet and backyard BBQ's are gearing up with the holiday looming. What to do, what to do...maybe I should check out my local organic market to see what they will have for deals on corn. Whole Watermelons are on sale for $4.99, and are #36 on the Clean 15. There's also a note in the ad that there's a Shaw's coupon available next week. I'm hoping for $1/1, which would make the end price $3.99 each. California Cherries at $3.99/lb. are #7 on the Dirty Dozen, so you should really stay away from them if you can. They will have many more pesticides than organic cherries do.

A few orgainc produce items are on sale this week. Most notable are Wild Harvest Organic Salad Blends for $3.50 (-$1 WH IP = $2.50 each), Wild Harvest Organic Baby-Cut Carrots for $1.50 per 1 lb. bag (-$1 WH IP = $.50 each), and Organic Iceburg Lettuce for $2.49 each.

Tribe Hummus is on sale for BOGO. The shelf price is around $3, and you can use 2 coupons to make the end price around $.90 for 2 or $.45 each. I don't think the organic variety is on sale, and not all store carry it. Do you know if chickpeas are best to buy organically or if it's okay to buy conventional?

Glutino Gluten Free Pretzels are $6.99 for a 14 oz. bag. OMG! I don't know what I would do if I couldn't eat gluten. I think I would not be buying this bag of pretzels!

Tofutti Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert (16 oz.) Pints are $2.50 - $.55/1 (dbles) = $1.40 each! Even with the other coupons or without any coupons at all this is a really great price. I have been finding So Delicious Purely Decedant vanilla pints at Hannaford for $1.49 on a closeout price, so I may save my Tofutti coupons for the Cuties that are also on sale (monthly ad) for $3.
