KEY: Organic and Natural Products in OGD posts

A large part of Organic Grocery Deals is brand discussion. Unlike conventional brands, the wording on products in organic and convetional grocery stores is a bit more challenging to navigate.

There is definitely a difference between organic and natural products, as you can see discussed here in this thead, but in a quest for healthier products, shoppers may choose both. We want to be very clear when we discuss brands though to help you separate which are truly organic from which are natural products.

When you read through the brand discussion forums, you'll see manufacturers listed with the following legend and you'll know what types of products they offer:

Organic manufacturers will have a [O] in their thread title.

Natural manufacturers will have a [N] in their thread title.

Manufacturers that represent both lines will be denoted by [C] in that they crossover both processing categories.

Organic Alternatives (see this post) will be denoted with an [OA] in the the thread title.

Additionally, while some brands have either organic or natural vegetarian/vegan choices, if the manufacturer is strictly handles those product lines only, we'll also add a [V] as well in their title.

Lastly, if the manufacturer or grower produces and the products are Kosher, we'll list a [K] in the title, and if it's a product that's Halal, you'll see an [H] in the title.

We hope that by taking the time to identify and separate these out for you, you'll be able to make more informed choices at the store without having to hunt for the brands you need.
