FYI Dr. Bronners (and some other stuff) at Target

I was at Target yesterday and was excited to see that they had travel sizes of Dr. Bronners magic soap at my store! It was $1.99 for a bottle about the size of your run-of-the-mill body wash bottle- maybe a little bit larger. They had these in the natural make-up/beauty section and not with the other trial sized items.

They also had Weleda items there- two different types of the moisturizer- I believe they ran around $24.99 which is expensive but I've been known to pay ridiculous prices to help ward off the impending wrinkles. (Yes, I know they add character and that they're beautiful, but I seem to be getting them more quickly then other women. )

They also had Jason lotions and some other products called "Pure and Natural" which I had a couple of $1 off insert coupons for that expire on 3/31/08.

I also saw the Organix shampoos- all of which had nice TMF forms on them so if you haven't been able to find a form you might want to check at Target.

There were quite a few other brands of products that seemed to be listed as "all-natural." I didn't have time to write down any names or prices- I just did a drive-by with DH after going to the movies yesterday with the promise that the only thing I wanted was a new pair of Yoga pants. I'll have to stop by again soon and see if I can make a list of what they carry.

Kristen, I was looking at these new things tonight, too. Did you notice the Weleda had trial sizes? One item was $1.99, and another was $3.xx (yes, $3 for a trial size- sheesh!), but I don't remember those coupons having a size restriction, so maybe we can get them for free AC...?

Also, I noticed Origins products for the first time at my store tonight. Again, crazy expensive, but ah, to dream of clearance...

I tried looking for the Weleda trial sizes but I didn't see any. DH was doing the "pretend not to mind" but stood there shifting his weight around and looking bored so I felt bad and told him we could leave. I used the rose moisturizer face cream sample a few times and liked it but I need to contact them and find out if it has UVA/UVB protection. I need a moisturizer with both since my meds make me very photo sensitive and using only a UVA moisturizer last year caused a rash of unsightly (And itchy) hives all over my face one day after being in the sun for a few hours.

If not I guess it's back to square one.

Kristen, what area/dept of the store did you find the Dr Bronners?

I have the Weleda rose sample and haven't used it since I also have really sensitive skin and I'm worried I might react. I know I can't use any sunscreens that have Parsol in them since they cause a red itchy rash on my face.

I found it in the makeup aisles. I forgot to mention they had larger bottles too- not the largest available but they had the travel sized ones and then the ones that run for around $8. (Isn't it horrible I describe "sizes" by how much they cost? I hope you know which one I mean!) Now this was also at our larger Target store so I'm not sure if the layout is the same for the regular sized stores or not. I'm going to try to visit both to see if I find any gems.

Marci- the Weleda site has some good information about which products of theirs are formulated for sensitive skin. I have pretty sensitive skin also and I've been using the rose cream but it says that you should use the almond creme if you're sensitive. I'm thinking about writing to them and asking for a few more samples.
