Red Light Target Fraudulent Printable Coupon

As many of you might know, someone(s) out there took the $5 off a $25 toy purchase coupon and changed it into a $5 off $25 any purchase coupon. These coupons have been flying around in email and have even appeared on Ebay.

Several members have now reported that their Target has signs at the register telling the cashiers to decline BOTH the legitimate toy coupon and the fake generic coupon. There was an official announcement in Business Week (online).

In light of this, I have removed the original, legitimate toy coupon from the coupon generator.

Thanks for the heads up, pennywatcher. I wanted to move this post out so everyone can see it.

This makes me so mad. I printed the toy coupon a while ago, saving it for my dd's b-day gift shopping this month. Why are some people never satisfied with what they get, and have to ruin it for the rest of us? Gah!

Wow, what a bummer. Thanks for letting us know.
I had a few ( of the legit ones) printed that I was going to do birthday and christmas shopping with.
I did succesfully use one(legit one) on Monday.

Do you think they will put out a new one? or is this wishful thinking?
