Default Newflower Market ad 3/11/09-3/18/09 Austin, TX location

Hey Austinites!

Have you checked out Newflower Market yet? It's a great new store off Manchaca in South Austin. They are rivaling the prices of Sun Harvest with a HEB type atmosphere and quality of Whole Foods/Central Market. So far, my experience shopping there has been super positive. All the employees are extremely friendly. They are very coupon friendly. Although it may be a drive for some of you Northern Austinites (myself included), it is definitely worth it especially on Wednesday when it is Double Ad Wednesday. We may not have to travel too long though since they are in the planning stages of another Newflower store in the North Austin/Georgetown/Round Rock vicinity.

Reminder:

Don't forget your reusable bag. You get $.10 discount for every reusable bag that is sacked.

Here are some of my Top Picks:

Conventional Produce-locally produced only and all on the Clean 15 list:

  • TX grown cabbage 3 lbs/$1
  • TX grown Sweet Onions 2 lbs/$1
  • Seedless Watermelon 3 lbs/$1

Organic Produce:
  • Red, Granny Smith, Golden Delicious, Braeburn apples $2.99 for 3lb bag-that's roughly $1/lb for organic apples!
  • Sweet Grape or Cherry Tomatoes 10 oz containers 2/$5! Pretty good deal here for some good organic tomatoes!
  • Red, Green, Black Kale 2/$3

Organic Frozen Veggies:
  • Cascadian Farms 16 oz organic veggies 2/$4. Great price-especially if you have the $1/1 Cascadian Farms coupon!

Canned Goods:

  • Westbrae Organic Beans 14-15 oz $.88 eac

All Natural Meats:

  • Boneless Beef London Broil $1.97/lb

If you have gone to this brand new store, post your thoughts and let me know what great finds you have found!

Happy shopping!

Great prices- 33 cents/lb for watermelon is a great deal! And the apples too! And the natural meat- wow!

(And the beans at 88 cents a can is a stock-up price as far as I'm concerned!)

It sounds like a great place to shop- I hope you get one closer to your home!

Wow! Can you send me some watermelon? Mmmm. That sounds really good right now.

Also, I'd stock up on all of these things @ those prices. With it being a new store, the prices are bound to go higher after the first month or two.
