TJ's locations that accept coupons

In milepost #2 in this thread, derketchup mentions that some stores do accept coupons.

It might be helpful to consolidate info about these locations, what types and the number of coupons that are generally accepted, and any other relevant info you can think of.

Yes, coupons accepted

TJ's in Hicksville, Oyster Bay Road.

Portland, OR

• Hollywood (NE 42nd / Halsey St.) -- Yes. Coupons accepted were from Mambo Sprouts booklets from Whole Foods and/or Wild Oats. Nob Hill (NW Glisan St. / 21st Ave.) -- Yes.
• Powell/Reed (SE 39th / near Powell Blvd.) -- Yes.

Everett Mall Way, next to Tuesday morning -- will accept manufacturer's coupons. Only 1 like coupon per customer per day. No to competitor's coupons, no to expired coupons, and for some reason no to wine tags.

Interesting. How does the checker know whether a q came off a wine bottle? (Generally, I cut my wine tags down to just the essentials, i.e. no neck hole, etc.)

And let me guess, TJ's doesn't double either. *g*

TJ's in Centreville, VA has taken my insert Qs before. Though the cashiers generally don't look like they deal with them very often.

2. Do you have weekly specials or sales on your products?
"Sale" is a four-letter word to us. We have low prices, every day. No coupons, no membership cards, no discounts. You won’t find any glitzy promotions or couponing wars at our stores. If it makes you feel any better, think of it as all our items are on sale, day in and day out.

As meaning THEY (nor anyone else) don't print out coupons for TJ branded products. Since they carry some non-TJ products, coupons can be applied to those (though are relatively few)

Why people think trader joe's don't take coupons? Some of their cashiers say they don't.

I shop at the Trader Joes in Burien WA and they take coupons. I've also used coupons at the Issaquah WA and I believe Kirkland (may have been Bellevue) WA Trader Joes.

I've only used Mambo Sprouts coupons there but I've used lots of them at one time w/o problem. Several years ago I used 96 MB coupons at Trader Joes for Tom's of Maine soap (back when they had it for $1.99/bar).

The Trader Joe's in (North) Charlotte, NC also accepts coupons. I've used 12 of the same manufacturer's coupons in one purchase and they've been fine with that. Some of the cashiers don't know how to ring up coupons, but the more experienced cashiers do.

Trader Joe's at Lincoln & Grace in Chicago accepts coupons.

Just found out today - talked to THREE workers there! My cashier said it was probably his 3rd coupon in the 5 years he's been there.

I used a MFQ for Country Choice; I'm not sure if they'll take printables or other types of coupons.

My Trader Joe's takes coupons as well, but like your store, they rarely get them because people don't think to use them there. I know it surprises them on the rare occasion that I use one there to.
