Default So Stoneyfield Farm makes some of Trader Joe's yogurt

You may or may not realize but Trader Joe tries to keep it a secret who makes their private label products. Will today I figured out Stoneyfield Farm makes some of their yogurt because they had sign announcing the recall for Fat Free Blueberry yogurt dated April 13-26. I told the cashier that was funny because Stoneyfield made the same announcement a few weeks ago. She just smiled!

Anyway I thought it was funny because I'm always trying to guess which brand is private labeled by TJ! I buy their soy creamer and always wonder if it is Silk.

It's not all that uncommon that the major manufacturers make the store brand products, as I'm sure you're well aware. My mother worked in the corp. office of a major grocery store, once upon a time, and she told me about many of the matchups. (I definately don't remember now, since it was years ago). I also had a prof. in college tell the class that he worked @ a packaging facility, where the product was the same, but the boxes the product went into was different. He also said that the major brands had a different standard than store brands. So for example, BirdsEye may have allow 1 in 10,000 imperfections, while TJ's may allow 3, 6, or more per 10,000.
