Howdy from Texas!

I am new to this site. I had seen links from HCW and kept meaning to join. Today I had a little time and decided to check it out.

I am a stay at home mom of 2 boys. We live in Central Texas and just LOVE it.
I have been shopping organic for a long time. :D
I am a chef, so buying the best quality food has always been a priority.
My husband and I used to raise chickens on our farm back in Northern CA. We raised them organically, cage free. We would sell the eggs at our church on sunday. When I was a little girl my dad and mom raised organic free-range turkeys that we would sell at thanksgiving time. (this was 20+ years ago) so organic food has always been in my life. :)
Since we moved to Texas I have become a total localvore. I try to support small local businesses as much as possible and eat local as much as possible. I am lucky to have a great butcher just around the corner from me that carries locally raised beef and locally grown produce. I'm in heaven here.
