If you found us reading this week's Women's World magazine, glad you found us. Organic Grocery Deals is a generous and helpful community to help people transition to a green lifestyle. We're a little bit different from most sites pushing an organic or green message.

First off, not everyone here is 100% devoted to green living. We recognize that for some, just accessing food at all, let alone organic food, can be a challenge for people. Many of us might still have a box of Fruit Loops on a shelf, but we're experimenting with going green and finding ways to do that economically.

So what does that mean? It means there's no sanctimonious preaching if you're still buying conventionally produced goods. We get that and many of us still do as well.

This site is really about trying to do baby steps to green living. If you're already there - wonderful we applaud your efforts and commitment. But for many, we're just trying to get it dialed in. So we're doing things like building out our gardens in our yards, buying from local businesses, picking and choosing the organic foods we can afford, maybe trying vegetarianism, etc. It's the small things that are going to make an impact.

So, if you're trying to find ways to go green, but you either can't afford it or you're not 100% committed yet, you've found the right home. Kristen and Julee, the admin team here are going to be around to lend a hand. And the mod team is friendly, helpful, and in every stage of going green, so there's lots of fabulous information to help you change your buying habits.
