Default WF case discount

Here in CA at least, if you buy a whole case of a product from WF, they give you a 10% discount.

I email my order to the grocery manager, they call me when it is in and I pick it up at CS. Here's what I picked up today:

Nature's Path Toaster Pastries regularly $3.99 a box here in CA on sale for $2.50.

1 case of 12 boxes of Nature's Path Apple Toaster Pastries:

$30 (sale price) - 3.00 (10% case discount) = $21 savings over reg.
price

3 cases of 6 boxes of Enjoy Life No-allergens cereal bars:
$71.82 - 7.18 (case discount)

1 case of 12 Imagine Mushroom Soup

$35.88 - 3.59 (case discount)
Total savings of $31.77

It would be even more if I can locate q's.

I've also done it for LightLife tempeh (12 per case). They freeze very well.

That's awesome info! I think one of the local stores that I shop at offers a 10% case discount too...I never thought of doing it before but it looks like it could save me a bunch of money on things I use really often like stock.

Default Re: WF case discount

Here in Georgia they do it too - at least on baby food. When mine was still eating it, I used to buy a case of Earth's Best baby food (you can go through a case quite quickly) - it could be all different flavors, so long as they were all the same price (didn't even have to be the same size, as some of the smaller jars of pricier food are the same price as larger jars of just fruit or something). A great deal!

The Palo Alto Whole Foods told me case discount does not apply to sale items or everyday values.

I'm really interested in trying out this case discount purchase!

Questions:

Does anyone in Chicagoland know if they allow the 10% discount on top of the sale price?

Can I use Whole Deal coupons for each item in the case?

Can I use manufacturer's coupons for each items in the case?

Can I stack the two? (Or do I mean three - including the 10%?)

I'm thinking this would be an awesome way for DSis to save on soy milk - they go through about a half-gallon a day. It's on sale right now plus there are WF and MFQs out there - I'm working on the scenario in my head!

I would go into your favorite store and schmooze the manager and see what kind of deal he'll let you work out. Don't forget to let him know you do ALL of your shopping at WF.

I spoke with the manager at the Wheaton, IL (chicagoland) store. She said yes to using coupons (whole deal and mfg) with the case discount! YMMV so be sure to verify for your store.

I do enjoy shopping there! I grew up in Wheaton (family is still there) and WF opened when I was in high school. I would go once a week on Tuesdays and peruse all the aisles and the deli - there was the cutest guy who worked the deli counter. I always found an excuse to buy a few slices of turkey and muenster cheese.

I'm currently splitting my time between Wheaton and Chicago - so I shop at the W WF often - you can't miss me with my giant pink Disney bag of coupons!

I also really like the WF Sauganash at Peterson & Cicero in the city, but I hear the Lincoln Park one is amazing - I must go there sometime!

Anyone know how long it takes for a case order to come in?

There are a few products on sale right now (and I have lots of coupons, too!) so I want to make sure to get the order in before the sale ends.

I just might have to pop into the WF tomorrow!

(Nevermind that I was there today...)

Went to the Wheaton, IL WF today and spoke with an employee at the customer service counter.

He said I can get the 10% case discount on top of the sale price. Good!

He said I cannot use more than one (of the same) WF Whole Deal coupons per transaction. It's up to the cashier/manager on duty if they feel like pushing more through. Not cool!

He said I cannot use 12 WF WD coupons on a case purchase because "they'd start losing money then." Well what if you keep the 10% and I just do 12 transactions? Which one costs you more?

He said I probably CAN use 12 MFQs on a case purchase as long as it's within the limitations of the MFQ. Okay that works for me!

So, I "tried my luck" and bought 2 x Organic Valley chocolate soy, 4 x Nature's Path frozen waffles, and 2 x Lundberg rice cakes, using 2 WF WD coupons for each purchase (one transaction). Didn't want to push my luck past using 2 x the coupons since it was at their discretion.

The cashier rung in one of each coupon no problem, then added up the discount of the other three coupons ($4) and keyed that in separately. She said she could only override/push through one coupon so she would rather I get the whole discount - which I greatly appreciated! I asked her if it would help for me to separate the orders so that she wouldn't have to push through coupons, and she said she didn't mind but when it gets busy that other customers might get feisty. I sad, "they'll just be jealous of how much money I'm saving with my coupons!"

Oh, Whole Foods, PLEASE don't get all difficult on me with these coupon restrictions! Otherwise, get ready for 12 transactions in a row from me...

(Sorry this went from "Case Discount" to "Whole Foods Coupons" thread-related - should I post it there as well?)

I would LOVE to see an official WF coupon policy in writing. Anyone have such luck?

Hi. Went to the WF Cranbrook in Ann Arbor, MI today. Love that store. I got a case of R.W. Knudsen Organic Pear juice. It was 3.99 a bottle (32 oz) and I got the 10% case discount plus I was able to use my coupons (unfortunately I only had 2 1.00 off of a 32 oz--but better than nothing right?).

So my case of 12 bottles was 47.88- 10% = 43.09 -$2 in coupons = 41.09
final cost of 3.43 a bottle. Not a steal but I can't find that juice anywhere and the only place online I could find it they wanted $56 a case plus $4.99 s/h. So I really saved myself about $20 for the case. Love that!
