FREE Whole Foods - FREE Oikos Yogurt

thanks to ellicents at HCW

My Whole Foods is selling 5.3 oz cups of Oikos Organic Greek Yogurt for $1 until 2/16. There's a $1/1 any size Oikos Organic Greek Yogurt in the Jan/Feb edition of "Whole Deals" coupon book found for free in stores = free yogurt!

Thanks. I will be on the lookout in the store. I love Oikos, especially with a Kashi trail mix bar crumbled in it. Yummy!

That's great news! I was just hoping for an Oikos deal!

Question: Does WF allow overages (or am I totally in a coupon gray area) since there is a $1 WF coupon as well as $1 MF coupons out there, making the savings $2 per yogurt?

Thanks!

It will be interesting to see if my WF allows it; I'll try to buy one or two, but we reallllly love the Wallaby (organic) yogurts and they are on sale this week 4/3.00 (I think that's the price).

Yum! That does sound good! I'll have to remember that if I ever run out of granola.

I can't confirm this myself. It's probably a YMMV (your mileage may vary) situation.

Bummer. Went to WF this a.m., Oikos coupons in hand and it wasn't on sale! There were no signs...and I didn't really feel like asking anyone; mainly because they had the organic Wallaby ($4/3.00) on sale and we really like that one!

Default Re: Whole Foods - FREE Oikos Yogurt

Went to the WF yesterday. Oikos on sale for $1. I had 4 x $1 MFQs and 4 x $1 WFQs. I picked out 8 yogurts - figured I would rather have more yogurt than overage right now!

My MFQs and 1st WFQ went through no problem - but the other WFQs beeped. My cashier said I'd have to buy them separate. More beeping. Finally a manager had to come over.

(Side note: I think the past 5 times I've gone shopping anywhere the manager has come over!!!)

It worked out to buy the additional 3 yogurts at no cost.

I have a few more WFQs and want to go buy more yogurt - but am not really looking forward to this situation again!

What is WFs policy on using more than one WFQ for the same product (but multiples of that product, of course!)? It might be helpful for me to be able to tell my cashier.

I use multiple WFQ's ~ I usually pick up several of the Whole Deal books they have and if an item I want is on sale and I have several WFQ's...I will buy as many as I can. I've never had a problem with that. I mean, technically, it SHOULDN'T be a problem; you have one item/one q ~ it's one for one ~ no matter how many you are buying (unless there is a quantity limit). I am also able to use mfg q's with WFq's. What comes to mind doing this was a little while ago when the Odwalla juices were on sale. Saved a bundle!

i checked the online ad for my area and it states they are on sale 10 for 10, just did a trade on hcw to get some of the coupons, but i also think my local target carries them too, and they are probably close to 1.00, i know the stonyfield farm single cups are 1.07 there. I made the trade before i found out about the whole food coupon for it, ah well. Wanting to stock up this anyway for dh and ds But super excited to go shopping at whole foods later in the week. I now have an excuse to go there and check out the prices. It is about 10 miles from my house, so i normally shop the conventional stores closer by.

A side note, 3.99 for a pound of de-shelled almonds is pretty cheap right? They are on sale and i was thinking about getting some when i go...

First of all, let me say that I am totally jealous that you have a WF within TEN MILES of your house! And you have conventional stores....even closer?? Ah well, I guess that's what I get for living in the middle of nowhere! I actually have two conventional grocery stores about 10 miles from my house; the closest WF is about 32 miles away. And we go twice a month. We just LOVE WF and make it worth our trip. It's actually the most relaxing shopping (grocery) we do! The team members have gotten to know us and are super friendly (and we get lots of free samples). It's never really busy when we go early in the a.m. either.

As far as your almonds, yes, I would consider that a very good price! You can freeze them too, you know. I buy extra walnuts as well when they are on sale and use my Food Saver to seal them up nice and tight!

I know I guess i sound pretty strange, but I am a creature of habit and i tend to shop within a 5 mile radius of my house, lol, but since I'm going organic, I am thinking i need to make a trip to whole foods twice a month too. I can get quite a bit of organic foods at the conventional stores, they all carry organic milk, although walmart doesn't carry organic soymilk that i've found, but my local hyvee and henhouse have pretty nice organic sections.

I'm following The Eat to Live diet right now, so i need lots of greens, veggies, beans and nuts! Also saw in the paper some ground flax seed which i need to be taking on this diet and haven't started, so will probably get that too when i'm there.

Okay, I'll admit, I've only been to whole foods 2 times, lol! Once when I was looking for some milk increasing tea for breastfeeding and once when i was looking for some indian Dal!

Uh, oh... should I tell you that I have TEN Whole Foods stores within 10.5 miles of my house?

I think I'll head back to WF soon to pick up a few more Oikos! I had the vanilla today with an assortment of berries and granola. Yum!

Rewards begin at 25 points and i redeemed 25 points for a free natures path product coupon valid up to $5.00, this deal just got even sweeter!

I hope someone can help before I head off to WF today. (My first real shopping trip there!)

WF has printable coupons for Oikos for $1 off. Can I use more than 1 printatble coupon? (If I buy 10 yogurts, could I use 10 coupons?)

Thanks in advance!

The policy at my WF is if you use more than 6 coupons total (same or all different) in a transaction then a manager has to be called over. So, of course, I have to see a manager every time I go. It's quite annoying, especially when there's a long line behind you.

Thank you. I was able to use 10 coupons for the Oikos. They wouldn't scan but Customer Service took care of us! It was a great deal without the coupon. Our local grocery store sells them for $1.39

You should be able to. YMMV

Be sure they are original IP's and not copies (mentioning just in case you didn't know not to copy...no offense meant)
